About MAPA

The MAPA Toolset

MAPA is a set of assessment tools aimed at screening, mapping, and supporting the diagnosis of mental disorders, pathological traits, and transdiagnostic clinical symptoms. MAPA stands for Measure for Psychopathology Assessment AI-based — a measure for psychopathology assessment based on artificial intelligence.

The MAPA tools are developed at the intersection of advanced psychometrics and artificial intelligence algorithms, focusing on accuracy in identifying and mapping clinically relevant symptoms. Each measure is grounded in scientific evidence and contemporary principles of dimensional and transdiagnostic psychopathology, ensuring technical rigor and alignment with cutting-edge knowledge.

Our goal is to offer robust assessment instruments built upon widely recognized dimensional models of psychopathology, including references from DSM-5-TR, ICD-11, and HiTOP. One of the key features of MAPA is the use of artificial intelligence to transform collected data into robust, clear, and clinically useful interpretative reports.

These reports are designed for various professional contexts — from private practices and clinics to hospitals, research institutions, and mental health programs. Due to the semi-structured interview format, the MAPA tools are highly adaptable to multiple settings, including forensic, organizational, and neuropsychological applications.

Each tool is designed to maximize clinical and diagnostic utility, providing clear, accessible, and highly relevant information for psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals.

The application is carried out through digital devices (smartphones, tablets, notebooks, or computers). After accessing the MAPA environment and selecting the desired tool, the professional conducts a semi-structured interview with the evaluated person. Questions and answers are automatically recorded, then transcribed and analyzed by artificial intelligence. The interview content is transformed by AI algorithms into relevant clinical data and presented in a structured report.

The MAPA tools’ reports have been carefully developed to combine technical precision, understandable language, and intuitive visuals, offering a useful and efficient synthesis of the symptoms and individual characteristics of the person being assessed.
